Click here to find out about I Belong: encouraging girls into computer science. To achieve the desired outcomes, the Computing Hub is encouraging every school to provide an event to encourage year 8 girls to see themselves able and inspired to take GCSE computer science. An event at Bletchley park is taking place on the 27th Sept 2024 for Year 8 girls in order to achieve this, find out more HERE. You can sign up and receive help to get your school the I Belong certificate. Also you may want to use the Computing Quality Mark as a needs analysis for your department.
For Primary Schools you can join Physical Computing Kit courses, two of which are being held at Langley Grammar School. The Computing kit courses allow your School the great opportunity to rent kits like Beebots and Micro:bits! To find out more information click here.
If your school is needing to upskill the subject knowledge of non-computing teachers to be able to teach computing next year, please email the Computing Hub for support here. They can help your teachers by providing subject knowledge CPD either face-to-face or visit their website for all the remote courses available here.
